That means it'l be a pain in the arse ha,
You will have to run speaker cable from
your stereo to the boot. You would normally solder
the Wires into the connector block, But if its a diy Job
read the manual of the cd player, figure out which wires are for the back speakers snip them before the connector block then stip back the wire
and conect that to you new speaker cable and electrical tape them.
Dut out the hole on the back shelf for the speakers and connet them to the speakers.

I am looking to add speakers into the back of my car aswell, its a mk5 golf and it has grills for speakers in the sides of the car at the back seats. I have Sony speakers given to me from a mate they have + and - copper wires coming out of them but this is the stereo and the connections i have:

Im guessing I just need an adapter to alter the copper wire endings into proper line in plugs and simply connect them?

Its a 3 door car, but they would be at about knee level

you could either get RCA plugs to match what you have there, or just cut up the wires and join them. for the sake of the warranty on the stereo you'd be as well off to get the plugs.

Weird that it doesn't have rear speakers, is it a Golf van?

No it just simply didnt have speakers in the back when I got it, just had the space for them, probably extra when the person bought the car I got it 2nd hand.
