Basically, Im trying to decide between two laptops:

    Asus UL30a
    Samsung Q320

Asus is lighter and a much longer battery (also dont think it has a vga port)

Samsung has optical drive, better webcam, processor and dedicated graphics card however.

(Samsung is slightly dearer but I think both laptops are well priced)

Basically I wish the asus had a better webcam and cd drive and I wish the samsung was a bit lighter and longer lived :D
I think I prefer the Asus because its so light and portable and the only thing Id change is the webcam and vga port.

The graphics are better with the Samsung but Im a college student and will only be doing general word/excel/ppt type things so would that be that much use to me?

Samsung reviews arent too great but asus reviews are highly complimentary

    Any opinions would be great!!

I quick google on that asus, would suggest that it has both a hdmi out and a vga out.
The samsung is more powerful, it has a significantly better processor and dedicated graphics. Where as the Asus, is built to be power efficient with it's CULV processor, hence it's superior battery life.

In reality the Asus, would probably fit the bill, but if it were me, i would go with power over efficiency, but that's just me.
