What to do in Salthill?

    Few of us heading down to salthill this week. Wondering where is good for nightlife and also a bit of food! (can be separate places).

    Any activities that are cheap or free in the area? Someone mentioned salthill promenade so will give that a go. Any other ideas?

    Also more importantly. Where to avoid.. e.g. bars that are full of a certain type..

    Salthill doesn't have "bad" pubs, you can go anywhere.
    There's several good ones along the seafront.
    For food/beer I recommend KRCMA or Oslo.

    nightlife in salthill was the eighties. more happening in the town, about a 20 min walk.
    swimming is free . as is walking

    are there bars one should avoid in galway? the crane bar if you want to talk
