Who owns the BOI bank building in College Green? if it is Bank of Ireland should the government not "buy" this property of them rather than taking such large chunks of shares in the company. the property is located in an ideal location and could be used for the benefit of the country and the citizens as a musuem or something similar.

Id agree - itd be nice to take the building back into the ownership of the state.

However, its an asset of the bank. Wed need to give them more again to replace the value of the building on their balance sheet. I dont know what its valued at, but Id assume its a fair bit.
