So I don't play much online but i was playing Outrun online and I got a message from a fellow racer.

He told me I have some interesting games and do I want to gameshare.

I said "wat? What do you mean?" and he explained that we should trade account details(!) so we can download each other's psn games.

Obviously I told him to FO but he seemed pissed and almost sad he couldn't play Flower(which I would give him to take away if i could, awful game)

Does this thing go on a lot? I mean, it seems like a complete scam obviously but I did a quick google and there seems to be forums dedictated to it so who knows, maybe he was serious.
He did say I could go first.

Keep in mind, letting someone login to your PS3 account lets them do whatever they want to it. Change your passwords, buy stuff if you've left the cc details there etc.

Not to mention if you get caught Sony can just block you from PSN altogether.

There was a clause in the PSN EULA that you could copy your account to 5 other friends PS3's and you[/] could play the PSN games on those extra accounts for free, to sdave you luging around your PS3 to show a friend a game.

Most of the stupider aspect of the PS community figured this to mean they could give 5 versions of their PSN games to other people for free, you just need to setup an account on their system.

I would never do it, especially to some random stranger. Nothing to stop em spending any credit you have in tyour PSN wallet or switching your PSN login password and such.

The purpose of this was moreso to do with multiple PS3's in different houses as well as repair units but either way, the system now only allows 3 installs.

if you have cousins or friends that you live by its safe to do it , never do it to strangers , also remember if anything ever happened to ou r ps3 and u got a new one , and u give your account to 5 people , you cannot download your purchased dlc games , also if you have your credit card details on your ps3 , theyll have it aswell so be very careful ,

aw crap, that sucks, did this a few times with my mate, it was most useful for dlc, you could pay for half and share with a friend or just buy every second or third add on pack and share those.

ah well, we had a good run :(
