    Hi,

I am getting a 35mm screed poured upstairs in my timberframe house.

Should I get the screed poured before I have the downstairs ceilings skimmed.

I am just worried about the downstairs ceilings cracking after if I pour the screed after the hardwalling...

    Mike.

It would seem to make sense to screed before skimming.

Those thin screeds don't have great mechanical strength like thicker concrete screeds do . So if the upstairs is not skimmed ( you don't say if they are or not ) I would not risk heavy works be carried on over the screed .

    Thanks folks.

    Plan is as follows:

    1. Skim upstairs
    2. Pour Screed upstairs
    3. Skim downstairs.

    Mike.
