    Hi,

Currently renovating a house and we would like to remove the footpaths around the perimiter and replace with gravel.

    There two concerns with this:
    1. Will this comply with bulding regulations?
    2. Will there be a risk of dampness or damaging the foundations etc?

Has anybody here done this kind of thing before?

    Thanks,
    Techguy

Take it nice and handy with a sledge hammer and your foundations will be grand. Dont know about regulations etc. Is it a historic house? Is the path yours or the councils/neighbours? If no to both, then I dont think you'd have any probs. Check with the council first though.

No (building regulation) requirement for footpaths and secondly footpaths are not connected with foundations. So no issue with removing them.
