iPhone othen than O2/Vodafone. Will it work?

It will work, but not without a few extra steps. The iPhone will need to be ''unlocked'' - not physically, but it will need to run some software to open it up to any network. Putting (say) a Meteor sim card in straight away would just be rejected by the iPhone.
