Fill in your information below and your name will be included with others on a microchip on the Mars Science Laboratory rover heading to Mars in 2011! And you get a printout cert. :D
Yeah we had it before but good to bring it back. Great idea for the kids and also to get their teacher involved so the whole class can take part.

Why are they doing this? Am I going to start getting spam from Mars now?

yeahh the first bank of mars is going to ask you if you want a moon buggy loan :D

More than probable its just a PR exercise by nasa. It generates public support.

It's done to raise public interest in the programme. They started doing it a few years ago on previous flights to the Moon and Mars and even to Saturn. My name along with the names of my family have gone many times to space. Kids love it {Big kids aswell:D} Hang the certs on the wall and encourage the the kids teachers to take part. Its a great way to get young people interested in science, and that is what our society needs more than anything else..............Sorry Beeker calms down again and put kettle on:D

That's an awesome idea to get kids and schools into, I'm over the moon :Dsince I found out about this yesterday and who wouldn't be? Nasa should be doing WAY more pr stuff like this anyway, especially now that they are going off the government paycheck.
