Well lads, one of my G17's has taken to giving me bursts of full auto!!

Say I fill a mag with gas and BB's. Put it in the G17. Rack the slide, and release it, so the piece is loaded, ready to shoot.

First BB goes without a problem, but after that, it sometimes takes it upon itself to go all G18c on my ass!!:D

Any ideas whats causing this? Anyone had a similar experience and found a fix??

    Cheers in advance dudes! ;)

I think i know whats causing it.

Sometimes when you pull the slide back on this G17, the trigger doesnt lock into the loaded position!

Anyone know how to fix that?

plastic slide+strong gas leads to the problems your encountering
i bet after a while it goes back to normal ie just semi?
If thats the case id try a different gas ie 134a or else jsut buy a metal slide and transfer everything over

I got the exact same problem wih my Army Glock 17. The full auto has stoped but occasionaly the trigger dosent reset back to the loaded postion when firing.

Not a clue. I thought maybe it could just do with being lubed up  But that hasnt sovled anything. Im not sure but i think i know where the problem might be( on mine anyway)

When you take off the slide at the back the hammer is visible. With the frame pointed away from you there is another little catch just to the right of the hammer. This catch, cathces a certain place on the slide. If it dosent, it does not reset right. Its really hard to explain. Give me a few minutes and i will find pics :)

    oh:D
Most likely the trigger not catching/resetting as you've said
How long have you had it? Could be worn, or in need of some silicone oil it its being jammed/slowed by dirt.

Seeing as how its not the slide i dunno,
    Socom never has these problems:D

The little catch on the righ hand side of the hammer. I think that where the problem lies :)

my experience is only with a kwa g18c but i had that problem too
what was wrong on mine was the small flat piece of metal going from one side of the slide to the other behind the blowback chamber had broken
its very difficult to describe but have a look at the back of the blowback chamber
