Mary Hanafin in an rte interview, ex GAA leader Dr. Loftus GP, have spoken bluntly about Ireland's chronic alcohol problem

Dr Loftus expressed shock at GAA collaberation with alcohol advertisers

why are there only random statements from some leaders in our society about what is a chronic unhealthy relationship with alcohol binging
often most visible at the frontline of
road carnage, family breakdown, prison sentences, murder, etc etc

can anyone recall other leaders who have stated the case that alcohol binging is at times a problem in this society

the binge drinking of Ireland and UK is rarely a feature in other european societies:cool:

the drinks lobby are too powerful in this society, this drinkaware sop is feeble and useless
