Right. Let's not sugar coat this people- I'm looking for a Debs dress. Everybody in my class will be wearing sparkle-tastic shiny 'dresses' but I'm looking for something a bit different. Went into tk maxx yesterday but everything is either in the shiny camp or really simple and classy-just not me! I don't really know how to describe my style but I really like how Cassie in Skins dressed and I love love love anything by Luella Bartley. Girly with a twist? (ugh) I would like something that is quirky but not ridiculous. Sexy but not slutty. Appropriate for a debs but not 'debsy'. Is this a tall order? I live in Galway so resources are limited. Can anybody help please?

as a guy ... I may be completely wrong - had to actually google "cassie" to see what she looked like - I've watched the show just couldnt picture her...anyways....

im gonna suggest a couple of websites via PM to view dresses.... you might see something there that tickles your fancy.

what shops have you checked ? (apart from TK Maxx)

Apart from Tk Maxx I have checked Rococco, Born, Debenhams and Brown Thomas.

If you've a bit of money to spend check out Betsey Johnson. She has some similar shapes to Luella and has really great, bright colours.

You could add some funky looking shoes, like Melissa with Vivienne Westwood, or Irregular Choice.
