What are the different ways to connect a DVD player to a TV.

I know you can do the normal Scart lead and HDMI lead aswell

But what other ways are there to connect the 2?

Can you connect a DVD player up to say the likes of Sky or NTL box and then watch it through the Sky/NTL co ax connection to the TV?

Can you connect a DVD player to a TV wirelessly?

    Many Thanks.:)

Yes, connect to the VCR scart connection on these boxes.

I've never seen a DVD player with wireless ability.

So if I connect the DVD player to the back of the Sky or NTL box with the scart,I will be able to then view the dvd on the TV through the co ax connection from the sky/ntl box to the TV?

Just want to get my head around this.

    Thanks.:)

This had me thinking for a minute, I doubt that will work, if the sky box is hooked up to the TV through the scart and the dvd is in turn hooked up to the sky box through scart, the dvd player will work on the same AV channel as the sky box once the sky box is in standby. But the DVD player then working through RF on the Sky box? Sorry to say but I don't think so as the DVD signal would have to in some form go into the RF IN on the Sky box.
Only way I could see this working is to put the DVD scart into a RF modulator and in turn feed that into the RF in on the sky box

You could use a video sender device to connect the DVD player to the TV wirelessly.

Gosh, you are right, I just tried it. My apologies. A Sky box does not output the scart loopthrough signal via it's RF modulator. Bad design. Wonder if a NLT box will.
