Famas v M16???

What is the difference? I know the stats say the m16 is better but ive used both and to be honest i think the famas kills quicker with less recoil! The m16 just seems slow and less powerful! Can anyone give some more onto this topic? The one good thing about the m16 is that it blocks less of the screen and doesnt look as clunky as the famas!

Famas has a faster rate of fire. With holographic sight, the M16 is way more accurate.

I would have though the holographic sight is way less accurate as it has a larger crosshair, would have thought the red dot is the most accurate for all weapons! Might try that m16 with holo. But everytime i use a m16 people just dont die even if i shoot them! With the famas they just die in the first burst. I dont think m16 stats are true at all!

I use em both. Both are very similar tbh. Prefer Famas on some maps, M16 on others.

Famas is a beast, i often think i got sniped only to see it was a Famas from across the map!

I use the M16 but its no where as powerful as the Famas!

M16 with Silencer and Acog scope..
Plus P2000 with silencer and extended mags.
Use bling/cold blood/ninja and you can be seriously sneaky in maps.:p

M16 is actually more powerful than the FAMAS, just check the stats. Both drop someone in 1 burst 90% of the time though.

famas for me..... just works alot better if you find youselve up close.

? The m16 isnt more powerful. They both do the exact same damage (40), the famas does 40 damage over a longer range even.

I use the 2 of them , imo the m16 is more powerful but the famas seems quicker to fire.

The stats only matter at a lan event , you think everyone is on the same level field online , not likely.

you can see the famas maintains the 40 damage for a further distance than the M16. Other than that, only difference seems to be the famas takes slightly longer to reload - like everything in COD there's a pro and a con.

read somewhere that the Famas' bursts are faster but that the time between bursts are slightly longer than the M16. Not entirely sure what advantages that presents though.

I enjoy using both alot. they will both take down anyone with one burst at the chest or above.

Jesus, whipping out the ol gun stats... and people think I'm too much into the game

I prefer the look of the M16, loved it on COD4.

But whenever I prestiged I always use the Famas first and I think shooting from the hip the Famas is far better.

I prefer the Famas overall but it just looks like a pile of ****e compared to the m16.

As tbh has posted, the stats on the two guns are practically the same, with the Famas having better range, but the M16 reloading quicker.

However, the Holo sight has one advantage over the red dot, it's autoaim is better. It has the bigger red crosshair, and it's been discussed elsewhere that this basically sucks in the bullets on target if you have the crosshair over a target. Where there is that DenKirson page for the damage stats, the holo v RD sights is more anecdotal evidence.

I've only started using both recently, moved from the Tar-21 which i loved, takes a while to get used to the burst method and theres no room for spraying if you get caught in a tight battle but overall I love the Famas, taking people out from half the map away and getting clean headshots is awesome, add in stopping power and its a beast of a gun

I think you are best with two classes. One for the Famas/M16 for maps like wasteland/Derail/Quarry and one for Tar for invasion/karachi etc.

Burst fire is brilliant at mid-long range, while auto fire on Tar is class on short-mid range.

Imo there the same, but the Famas for me, purely because the M16 sounds like a bag o' cats;)

i love the m16 i use it alot i have every attachatment and camo unlocked for it its brill i think

and i hate the famas i dont know there is just something about it

stats point toward the m16 but to me the famas is way better...nearly allways a 1 burst kill....thats not the case with the m16!

3 Classes. Add p90s or UMP on sub to that
