Hasn't been on last week, won't be on tonight or next week.

    Has it finished?

Kind of wierd, seeing as there is still Deal or No Deal scratchcards in shops.

    Hopefully its finished.

    It's pathetic.

The UK version is very good but the contestants from Ireland are just weird.

I hate the UK one. A few years ago it used to be good but then they got all "I can feel the luck and love emanating from this box- good luck love".

Ugh. It's just LUCK! Haha what kind of people were on the Irish one?

Wonder if we'll be seeing Irish DOND on again?

I haven't come across one person who's had a great deal to say about it - as was the case with Irish Millionaire and Irish Weakest Link.

I gather that if it is over for good, and people continue to send in scratchcards for a chance to appear on the show, they'll probably receive some cash amount instead.

    Irish people

Don't know, I would say it will be back. They just aren't running it during the summer months.

No, it is not any good. And the contestants having feelings about which box is pathetic.

You actually think it WILL return?

Even though it hardly got many people talking?

It is not like TV3 are giving out the prise money and if the Lotto are making money from ticket sales then they will want to continue with the show. The show was averaging 200,000 viewers which is excellent for TV3 especially when they prob don't spend that much money on the show.

Personally I think that Deal or No Deal (from what ever country) if fairly bland. I am surprised it is considered a good format. I also think that TV3 would want to repeat what they have produced at 4pm on TV3 everyday during one month, after all it is only a daytime TV show.

or even put in at 2:10 where they have Jeremy Kyle on for the second time in the daytime.

Still no news about it coming back - we'll probably hear about it in TV3's autumn press release. I just hope they don't have it split up like last years one. Sunday night at 7 or 8 would surely be better.

Slitting it up was in the hope that viewers of Corrie St would not switch to EastEnders and The News. They possibly also hoped to see an increase in Corrie St audience. With 250,000 viewers people didn't turn over for EastEnders, but Corrie St audience didn't increase.

I hear they are doing Come Dine With Me this year.

Well, over six months on from the last post, it looks like Irish DOND has disappeared from view completely...

Time to lock this thread perhaps?

You could have let it die like the show itself.

It's fairly simple. The contestant Picks-a-box out of 24 or so boxes. In that box there is from 1c to €250,000. Then the contestant picks-a-box for the next hour and is offered some money to give up picking a box. :D

what a show! funny how you can go from 250k to 1c just by opening one box. never accept the bankers offer though
