Ryanair Dublin to Cork Flights

    Hi!

I sometimes fly home from Dublin to Cork and always take the later flight with Ryanair - about 8.30ish or something! Used to be pretty popular on Fridays and then back up at the same lateish time on Sundays. Am trying to book flights at the end of April and I've noticed the latest time is 6.20pm. Does anyone know why the late flights are gone and if they are coming back? 6 is a bit annoying as I'll have to leave work early and go back up early on the Sunday :(

    Thanks!

If the flight times don't suit you, why not get the train?

Ya I would do that except it's a bit pricey, Flights are like 16€ return! And I can't pass up an opportunity to browse duty free!! Just thought it was strange they would get rid of those flights! They were always pretty packed and very handy, especially with summer coming up

They've cut back the number of aircraft operating from Dublin for the summer, which probably explains the removal of the late rotation to/from Cork.

Is that a ' public service ' route ? Is it subsidised by us ??

AFAIK it is not a PSO.

I used to frequently get the 2245 Aer Arann (RE) flight to Cork on a Friday Evening, that was until RE realised that Ryanair had destroyed their business on the Dublin to Cork route and cut their schedule from seven to two flights a day each way on weekdays. Now that Ryanair have the stonghold on that route they can pretty much do what they want with it and you fly when THEY fly.

I suppose the best you can do is get the 2100hrs Dublin to Cork train for €10 online and relax over a few beers, and maybe fly back on Sunday evening/Monday morning.

There isn't any duty-free for internal Ireland/EU flights.
