    Hi
I have been looking on jobs.ie daily over the past few weeks, they seem to be one of the better sites out there. But I've noticed that some jobs seem to be advertized again about 1/2 weeks later as new jobs from compaines & agencys,I'm sure they must get a shed load of CV's the first time round
I've had some replys automated from jobs.ie & directly from the company

Or is this jobs.ie just using us to get more hits to the site
are we just wasting our time ??

It does seem to me anyway allot of the multilingual jobs always get re advertised.

Ive been unemployed since this time last year. Not one recruitment agency has gotten me an interview. Wasting your time with agencies... even the genunine companys with jobs are starting to put at the bottom of their ad's "NO AGENCIES" */rant over*

Only got interviews when applying directly to the company, not through jobs.ie. You can use jobs.ie to find the jobs but try search for the companys website apply through there or just send an email with your cover letter.

my company does actually readvertise on jobs.ie. this has to be done by the actual company itself they are not automated.

We are having a lot of issues filling positions for management roles, while ther are a lot of cvs most of them are not actually relevant to the position being offered...

I got my job by applying through jobs.ie and find the site good, wouldn't include agencies in your search as have found them useless over the years!

It is extremely difficult to hire the right staff (even when you are receiving many applications), so it is normal to advertise jobs for a long period of time, or have to re-advertise the position if the first batch of CVs are duds.

Regarding agencies, don't dismiss them; many companies do hire via agencies. It only takes a few seconds to send them your CV.

Have to say I am gone very sceptical of agencies now, have applied for about 10 jobs over the last few weeks and I haven't heard a bean from any of them, with the jobs still advertised.
I think its total CV pooling.

In my experience, I have found Agencies to be a joke. I Always exclude agencies from any job search I do. Better posibilities of actually getting a response

This is why we have introduced a Pay for Performance model. My company is the only job board in Ireland doing this and it only allows for qualified applicants to get through the process. Saves a lot of money and admin time for the employer and is good for the job seeker as they will know if they have met the employers criteria immediately.

Well, Jobs.ie and Staff.ie have had a filtering system for years (Staff.ie uses artificial intelligence to rank applications as they are received). Both might say they don't need a PPP model as the employers receive enough quality job applications... :)
