I nearly passed out when I saw the title, that was a bit misleading.

True MCD have said they'll be announcing something "very exciting" tomorrow... But I wouldn't really class the Coattail Riders as "exciting".

Anyway, Foo Fighter's wouldn't be playing Marlay Park, Green Day have that covered :D.... Unless they support them. In which case I'm bloody glad I bought my ticket :).

Why couldn't they both be playing Marlay Park?

And if they were on consecutive days.....then it'd probaly be cheaper then having the stage set up/dismantled twice..

The MCD big news this morning was Maiden and Heaven & Hell in the O2........I'd expect this announcement to be just Taylor's band.....

could also possibly be a Taylor Hawkins drum clinic... Steve Gadd is doing one in the Helix in DCU on the 17th of this month, and Chad Smith, Steve Smith & Thomas Lang have all done clinics in Dublin in recent times...

I would love to go if so!

But of course a FF gig would be savage!! :D

Well, no guarantees, just googled it and nothing... Cant see why Taylor Would announce it to MCD either, that kinda news would usually come through a drum sponsor of his or something...

I'll keep an ear to the ground about it though...

think you can safely change the name of the thread man......

Taylor Hawkins and his band The Coattail Riders are coming to the Academy this July 14th. Tickets on sale wednesday April 14th.

you'd think they would announce the Foo's as a major thing if it were happening....
