Hey, I still have my old racing shoes and was hoping to get a set of pedals for my mountain bike that would allow me use my old shoes (they use the look system) if I go out on the road and then my cross trainer when I am off road. But I can't find any compatable pedals that fit the look system. Can anyone help? It's, just that I don't want to go out and buy new shoes and pedals !!

Just to clarify, you want look pedals for your mountain bike?

"cross trainer" = some kind of shoes?

So you're looking for pedals that can be used with Look cleats and also with flat shoes? I don't think such a thing exists.

I am looking for pedals that will allow me to use my "look" system racing shoes on one side and my runners (cross-trainers) on the other. For my mountain bike.

You might be able to use a SIDI SPD Adaptor with some Shimano M324 (or similar) pedals.

Not really going to be ideal though. Probably better to just buy new shoes.

Cleats come with the pedals so just go for a new system. You can use the same shoes. I presume you are only using this on the road, right? You would not want to be riding off-road with a road pedal system.

Doesn't exist. You can get pedals that are flats one side and SPD the other. Or even Look one side and SPD the other. But not Look/flat (AFAIK.)

EDIT: you can get this which provides a platform suitable for runners than clicks into a Look pedal

Awesomely pointless and heavy IMO. But each to his own.

I tryed just getting a new system and went for a set of Shimano pedals with the cleats but my sidi adaptors don't fit the new cleats.

If your shoes are road, I presume they have three holes? You need to get a road pedal (3 hole cleat) rather than a MTB pedal (2 hole cleat.) Again, using this off road would be a very bad idea... the idea of road pedals on a MTB doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
