Looking into doing an online TEFL course but Iv no idea what company to do it with!

Has anyone completed an online course? If so, with what company and would you recommend them?

Any advise would be appreciated :D

I'd say have a rethink on this. Many employers specifically say that they do not recognise online courses, and why should they? Without classroom experience a TEFL qualification isn't worth a pitcher of warm spit.

Sorry to be so negative - best of luck to you, whatever you chose.

My friend did an online course and has not been able to get ANY work out of it in the 4 years since he did it!!

My brother did a 160 hour course over a few weeks and got plenty of work out of it over the period of a few years (now works in a different sector).

Wouldn't bother with an online one myself!

I'm actually looking into a job where TEFL is not required. So its not a case of me wanting to do it in order to get a job. I more want to do it to brush up on my own grammar.

    Thanks for the feedback!

Where would the part classroom part online stand in comparison to other courses. Would they have much value abroad or offer many teaching opportunities?

Theres a course taking place nearby this month that I would be intrested in a place on. It's a 20 hour practical weekend end course and another 20 hour online grammar module on top of that.

Would it be worth the 295€ they are quoting?

If not, what courses should i be looking at? 40 hours, 50, 60? 100% practical?
