    Hi there,

Like everyone I am trying to expand my client base. We offer I.T. services, some of which are essential to most businesses, We also have excellent references. So there is a need for us and we are good at what we do...but our main problem is getting ourselves known to businesses.

I have no problem spending money on a marketing campaign but am reluctant to spend money when I am unsure of the return.

Most of our leads come from customer referrals, search engines (we rank quite well for our target terms), adwords (for terms we dont rank well for) and from from print advertising.

Right now I am running a targeted direct mail promotion - We will see how that fairs out. About to start follow up phone calls. I know that the success rate on direct mail is low but I'm grasping at straws to try new techniques.

Its not like we have to acquire new clients or else, but like any business we are trying to constantly expand.

So I'm interested to know what other methods other businesses find successful.

I have also considered networking meetups - from experience how useful are these? Thanks in advance.

    hi
i use to do all that and it is a pain
drict mail is prob the best but make the phone call first and get a name that way its hitting the person persanly then a follow up call is more persinal and they are more likley to talk dont forget they wont buy if they dont like you
one of the girls in an other office use to put in a kitkat and 2 teabags in with the mail shot it was on the line of you can relax when were on site and it did seem to work:D

phone directories are diying a death and but the online version can be good and not that dear

all in all it is horses for corces

It would certainly grab the attention and will get you brought up in conversations....and cheap too! That's a great idea. I like it!
