Just rang local VW dealer for cost of service, basic €260 anything over normal oil change, filters etc additional, seems very stiff or am I wrong?

About right for a main dealer... try a specialist.. or any dealer! My local Citreon dealer wanted 260euro for a basic service... Limerick Citroen did the same service for 100euro!
