Christopher Cazenove, who was best known for his role in Dynasty, died yesterday at the age of 64 after a battle with septicaemia.
The actor played Ben Carrington in the 1980s soap opera Dynasty and also appeared in the BBC drama Judge John Deed.
He was taken to St Thomas' Hospital in London after he collapsed at his nearby home in February. Septicaemia is a bacterial infection of the blood, commonly known as blood poisoning.
Cazenove achieved worldwide fame in the Eighties hit Dynasty. This picture shows (clockwise from top left) Christopher, John Forsythe, who died last week at the age of 92, Kate O'Mara and Joan Collins

He returned to UK TV nine years ago when he played Police Commissioner Row Colemore in Judge John Deed.
His death comes just days after that of 92-year-old John Forsythe who played his on-screen oil tycoon brother Blake Carrington in Dynasty.

He died last week in Santa Ynez, California, after a year-long battle with cancer.
Lesley Duff, Cazenove's agent for the past 12 years, said on behalf of his family and girlfriend Isabel Davies: 'Christopher died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones having contracted septicaemia at the end of February.
'Despite a valiant fight and the untiring efforts of the wonderful team at St Thomas', he was overwhelmed.
'All who knew and loved him will be devastated by the loss of this incredible man.'
The actor, who was born in Winchester and went to school at Eton, made his name playing aristocratic roles in numerous TV productions.

He first found fame as Charlie Tyrrell in the 1970s BBC series The Duchess Of Duke Street.
He went on to play The Baron in the TV adaptation of Jeffrey Archer's novel Kane And Abel and Captain Preston in the World War II drama Jenny's War in 1985.
But it was his short time as the vengeful Ben Carrington in Dynasty which made him a household name between 1986 and 1987.
It was thanks his success in this role that he landed a key role in the 1990 comedy Three Men And A Little Lady, the sequel to Three Men And A Baby.

He plays Edward Hargreave, the English rascal who plans to marry the mother of the young girl at the centre of the storyline and bring both her and her mother over to the UK.
The characters played by Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson travel to Britain to stop the wedding because Hargreave plans to send the child to boarding school.
He also played Heath Ledger's father in the 2001 film A Knight's Tale.
He returned to UK TV in 2001 when he played Police Commissioner Row Colemore in Judge John Deed. Cazenove also worked extensively on the stage and in radio.
He was married to Poldark actress Angharad Rees for more than 20 years and they had two sons, Linford and Rhys.
They divorced in 1999 and since 2003 he had been dating Miss Davies. Linford died in a car crash on the M11 in Essex in 1999 aged 25.

    RIP
