BBC2 trophies just stopped clocking up? (Campaign)

The other night I finished Battlefield Bad Company 2 single player and was a bit surprised not to see a trophy alert for finishing. When I checked what trophies I had got, and what others might be achievable by a gamer of my meagre talents, I found I had nothing from the Sangre Del Toro level onwards. Nothing for completing levels, for x amount of kills with weapon y etc.

Has anyone had or heard of anything similar?

Apart from the new firmware, the only other change of note was that my youngest (he of the how many discs can I fit in this slot thread) seemed to have turned the PS3 on and off enough times to reset everything. PSN account was gone, network settings gone, display settings reset. BUT, all my trophy info from previous games was still there, and the BBC2 ones up to Sangre Del Toro.

I don't know why all your settings got reset(maybe holding the power button for awhile) but if I was to put a guess on the trophies I would say that you must of syncronised your trophies with the PSN servers and it saved the trophies you had earned but you might have lost any trophies earned after this that you did not sync. If you get me.

    My guess is this...
Clearly you were able to restore the save game from a backup.
So something has gone wrong where the PSN account the saved game was started with is no longer linked to that PSN when you continue. (it may just be that you can't save the save game, or you played in between the save point and restore point)

When they introduced trophies a constraint was put in where if you take a saved game from 1 PSN to another there is no way to move the trophies.

Because somehow you've managed to unlink the game and PSN it'll refuse to build the trophy progress until you start from the start with a new linked saved game.

Sorry I can't be of more help - but guess your goosed on this one.

It may not be that serious. When I say the PSN a/c was gone, I mean the prompt on the XMB was to sign up for PSN, not log in. I presume it's still in existence, I just haven't gone to the trouble of setting up the wireless connection and security and getting the PS3 online to check it yet.

I suppose that should be my next step. I would have thought the trophies would still accumulate locally though, regardless of whether they were synced with PSN.

    Thanks for the replies!

    That would do it :)

Your PSN and your trophies are linked. Sounds like you restored the account on the PS3 partially (it should still have kept the PSN linkage).
Anyways - in removing the link to PSN the linkage between the game progress in the save and the PSN trophies was broken.
