    Hi All

My names Charlie, i own and run a Taxi Advertising Business in Cork. Been in Business close to a year now and am slightly stuck. Alot of the last year has been trying to make my Company known, through various Advertising Campaigns etc but still i find myself Attracting smaller companies with no Budget to spend.

What im looking to get information about is how to get into the big Corporations i.e Mcdonalds, Vodafone, C&C Group to name a few. Ive emailed and called so many of these companies, but its the companies using outside Marketing Companies i want to get a hold of. Is there any easy way to find out who deals with who???

    Thanks for Reading

Most (if not all) the big companies will be using an advertising agency for the purpose. I'm trying to decipher from your posting if you are an agency yourself or are the taxis your own?

Anyway, If your not an agency, your best bet would be to look at contacting the big ad agencies - google them - and they will have access to the advertising budget to spend as they see fit - obviously subject to the approval of their client. You should realist that, like the small firms you were on about the big ones have also drastically cut their spend on advertising. You'll see plenty relating to this in the media as radio stations etc all reported big drops in ad revenue.

Incidentally, the taxi advertising can be really effective if done well. I spoke to a taxi firm owner on a recent trip to London and he has bought a fleet of new London Black Taxis and the wrap advertising is paying for them with a little to spare too.

Thank you for the reply, i am not an Agency, but its a Business, where is sell the space on the Taxi's. Giving the Taxi drivers a payment for using their cars. I will try getting in touch with agencies to see if its something they will use.

    Thanks

Outdoor advertising, which is what you are talking about, is dominated by a couple of big players. You can either work with them or work around them.

You need to look hard at whether there is actually enough spend to be had out there, by anybody, at the moment.
