    Hey all
Hope this is the right place to post this.....quick question!
Am i required to supply parking to my tenant?
To cut a long story short, when i bought a two bed apt i only got one parking space, that was 5 years ago. I have had a tenant living with me nearly a year. Until last month we could park really wherever we wanted within the complex however i always used my space, parking was never an issue. They introduced clamping last month and supplied each apt with one resident permit and one visitor permit and there are designated resident and visitor spaces.
Last nigth i came home to find my tenant had parked in my underground space. i gave her the resident permit about two weeks ago. I said nothing (my own fault) and parked in a visitor spot and got up this morning and i was clamped.
My argument is now that she is saying im entitled to provide her with parking?? am i?? I gave her the residents permit to use! I dont need a permit to park in my own space!
This may escalate into a huge row and i really dont want it to but i dont see why im entitled to provide parking when she only pays me rent for a room??????
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

Unless your contract with the tenant specifies a parking space, then no, you don't have to provide any parking at all.

Get your resident parking permit back. Where she parks is then up to her.

*this is not legal advice, it's just experience*
