Ya i got reply's to say they have confirmed my application, I thought the interviews would be started, Did you do it last summer, Do you know if you get it, Do you get your first preference and is it non paid?

Yes I got in last year, and they didn't ask me for preference locations, i was just assigned to the head office. So i'd guess they assigned you to a location based on where you live. but i'd imagine that most would be getting their first preference, but have no idea how they decide where you are assigned. And yes, you are paid like most other summer jobs since you'd be working about 36 or so hours a week

I had an interview for the summer student job in the ESB around 3 weeks ago.
They said they would be in touch in around 2 weeks but I still havent heard anything!
Thought the interview went great aswell so I'm very nervous now that I didn't get it, anyone in the same boat as me?

Or people who have been successful in previous years, how long did it take from interview to offer?

I worked in the ESB doing the student summer jobs about 4 years ago. People worked in admin jobs such as Facilities Management, HR admin. I worked on the Switchboard in Head Office which about 10 people worked on. If anyone gets switchboard can you please tell me if sleepy dave still works there!!

The canteen in Head Office was deadly, lovely food :)
