Having booked Dub/MCO for December 4th., I am attempting to reserve 3 seats. Seating plan is showing most decent seats.....window/aisle.....unavailable.Unlikely to be booked at this stage.
Computer blip or new policy with Aer Lingus

    Computer blip most likely.
The seats up the front are the lie flat ones costing €275 each way.

It should tell you the prices of the others.

    Yes you pay.

Just had a look there at the seat maps you are talking about and yeah, that looks unusual alright - maybe they are booked for a tour company or something. Maybe give them a bell and ask them what the story is - seems unfair that you are booking this far in advance and are stuck with a centre seat.

I always just turn up at the airport as the check in desk is opening and ask for seats in emergency exit rows with a nice smile , extra leg room for me at no added expense thanks to the nice air lingus staff:)

my friend does this too but he is 6'5 and 18 stone so doesn't fit in the normal seat, he nearly went mental on our flight back from san fran last week when the emergency exit rows were taken up by tiny old people, can't blame him really, imagine if we had got in trouble how exactly would those old people have helped

Odd thing is that the seat situation is almost identical on our return flight on Jan 28th. Will definately give them a call before taking central seats

Just had a look at Boston for 4th Dec which we are planning at the moment and it's the same.......... maybe they are going to start charging to pre-book the seats at the window. :(

I'd be interested the hear what they say when you phone them............
