Nuke - what game modes offers best chance?

As the title suggests, which game modes would offer the best chance to grab a nuke? I'm thinking its probably more likely in the likes of Ground War / Domination or Demolition? I acknowledge they may be a bit of an anti-climax, but wouldn't mind grabbing a couple to complete the challenges.

I mainly play TDM or MTDM, had a few 25+ killstreaks but would've used my 3 killstreak rewards at that stage, typically Predator, Harrier, Chopper Gunner or AC130.

Alot depends on the room , and the map many people use harrier chopper gunner and nuke , i got most of mine on domination ,and half of them on the map wasteland , the last 2 nukes i got i found them easy only hard part is the start , using pavelow /ac130/ and nuke .
I've gotten a couple of flawless on ffa but it all depends on the position you take up.

Alright Shammy, so Pavelow kills now count towards your killstreak? I won't be getting a nuke if I'm playing against you that's for sure.

That was a good match last night, Ground War on Afghan, I think we were 27/5 each, on opposite teams. I got 5 kills with Intervention within first 15 seconds of the match, then all hell broke loose.

When you get your pavelow get one more kill before you call it in then it will count ,nowadays there is always someone with a stinger so getting 1 kill with thepavelow is good anymore is a bonus, but never bring out the ac130 until the pavelow is gone.

That was a strange one , after the first minute it was 1000/100 i was thinking someone was boosting. Next time i looked at the score you were 19-1 i was 1-4 , I got a bit lucky then and got a streak going, was doing ok with my spas in yer spawn until Mark noobtubed me out of it, very close game we just managed the win by a single kill.

I think sabotage is a good one. Each game can last up to 20 minutes so you can kind of chill and take your time, there's no score limit like in TDM, i always find that people looking for nukes on TDM, they'll get up to 20 kills or something and the game will finish, score limit reached.

I decided to play for a nuke one day, Estate came up. I was 24-0 with only 30 seconds left. I was upstairs in the house, the hostiles were approaching the front of the house. I had run out of ammo in my primary weapon, switched to secondary and jumped out back window in search of that last kill - pow I got smoked. I was a little sick.

The time and score limits in TDM definitely make it more difficult in that game mode.

Your best bet will probably be to play in Domination.

Demolition is also pretty good if you are defending just camp the bombs from a nice vantage point. At leaast then your playing objective and being a kill whore at the same time :P

Another possible one is FFA. Generally lower ranked "noobs" are found in Free for all, so if you set up camp its pretty easy. I have a nuke on Estate in FFA recorded where I basically sit in the house and they keep running back to me so yeah.


And you wont get a nuke in TDM, really isnt enough time. And you'll also have to camp pretty hard for the 7 (or 6 with hardline) kills.

I gotten 3 (was only able to use 2 though, ran outta time before I could call the other in). They all came the same way, as a Sniper Class playing TDM on Estate. Spawned at the house, picked off a few towards the garage, went upstairs a few more kills towards the boathouse / claymores / shotgun guys coming upstairs. Harrier around the boathouse, then into the bathtub Chopper Gunner, then Nuke. Had to get a couple of kills between kill streaks, but the same scenario for all 3.

Nukes on certain maps and game modes are easier to come by.

Ground War is your best bet for getting one. I personally have had the majority of my nukes playing Sabotage and Demolition. A couple on MTDM as well.

But in general it's probably easiest to get one playing domination(Ground War). Cap 2 flags(one has to be the B flag), you've spawn trapped the enemy thus Nuke FTW :pac:

Wasteland and Afghan, you should definitely have a nuke as one of your killstreaks IMO.

Killstreaks to use will obviously be 7-11-25. Personally I use 9-11-25.

I just got a 23 kill streak on Afghan before getting Spas-ed! 2 short of my second nuke

I thought since the latest patch, that all Pavelow kills count to killstreak regardless of whether you've gotten a kill or have died etc.

I'm pretty sure I saw a video over lunch yesterday where WOR was running 7-8-11 and the PaveLow was counting. Think he mentioned they'd fixed it.

yep. With the weather so bad recently, I've just been sitting in the office anyway, so tend to open up YouTube. That or do some reading. With the sunny days recently, I'll be out in the fresh air a bit more.

This is true - Had pav/chop gun/ Nuke on last night - got my 9 kills then went a runnin for cover - Sent in the pav low and nothin! Worse thing was the pav got like 12 kills but i got no gunner!

So close to my nukes im sick, about 10 24's and them either the game ends or I get blown up by my own claymore!

Also got a pav low then a claymore kill and still no gunner on invasion last night - This should be tested!!

Really? Oh well. Maybe I misunderstood. I thought this had been fixed, but maybe not. :rolleyes:
