streaming from ubuntu lucid to ps3

i have installed ps3mediaserver, seems to load up, but never finds my ps3, everything is installed correctly afaik, the settings are no different then i have them on a windows partition which it works fine
any ideas, or any body recommend a good alternative program, i came across mediatomb, but at a loss on how to work it

try "sudo apt-get install samba" then reboot

Why would he need samba?

Give mediatomb a go, UPnP media server. Does the job for me home.

sudo apt-get install mediatomb
