    Morning everyone,

    I have a 2005 Pug 407, 2lt Diesel, HDI.

Yesterday an error msg popped up " Particle filter additive level too low".
I'm hoping this isn't going to cost me a fortune... can anyone let me know what this involves?

    Thanks.

I believe the dpf fluid needs to be topped up on dpf cars at a fairly high km mark, I could be wrong, this should have been covered in a dealer service?

As mcshape has said the dpf (eloys) fluid will need topping up ...works out around 120 euro for 3 litres of fluid + top up/reset system will vary in price.

Peugeot will also want to replace the dpf which works out around 350-400
euro just for the dpf....Maybe ring them up the dealers and get a quote
on what it will cost..but i'd be guessing around 800euro for the full job...
There are cheaper ways to resolve this problem...:)

You can get the additive tank topped up yourself but you will need
good diagnostic equipment to reset the system,as for the dpf itself
its not unknown to remove/powerhose it dry it off well refit and it should be
    good for another while...:)
with the cost it depends on how much you can do yourself.

Some usefull info on 407's here... www.407owners.com/forums
