Pregnant?

My girlfriend and I have not had sex but we did do other things and I'm not sure if some of my semen may have somehow soaked through and gotten her pregnant. We are usually pretty careful but I can't be sure.

This weekend she suddenly started feeling very nautious - throwing up and so on.

She hasn't missed any periods and just had her last one about a week ago.

Is it possible she is pregnant? I know nothing about pregnancy...

    Hi OP,

If she had her period a week ago and this incident happened before then, then it is unlikely she's pregnant. However, if the incident happened after her period well then yes, she could be. The only way to know is to take a test but you have to wait until a couple of days before her next period is due (if the incident happened after her last period)

Also, I think it would be a good idea for you to read up about the risks and symptoms of pregnancy. Every couple should know the consequences and risks they take when having a sexual relationship. If you know you're facts then you are prepared to deal with the consequences should they happen which helps when trying to figure out how to deal with them.

    Good luck, OP.

It's highly unlikely that there's any link between pregnancy and her vomiting, especially if she had a normal period just a week ago. It would be quite rare for pregnancy "symptoms" to manifest within a couple of days of conception.

As Contessa says, go and read up on fertility, the menstrual cycle and contraception. Even though you're not having sex now, you're still engaging in risky behaviour and it will be worth your while to educate yourself on how the whole process works. It will actually give you more peace of mind than fear.

OP - I'd really recommned that both of you take the time to learn more about reproduction, sex and pregnancy.

If she had a period since you 'fooled' around then it's unlikely she's pregnant. However, the only way to know for certain is to take a pregnancy test.
