What's up with FAS?

I check the FAS website every day for jobs and WPP' positions but all day today I've checked it and there's absolutely no jobs added today! I don't mean none i can apply for, i actually mean 0 jobs. What's going on? Is there some sort of all out strike???

I noticed this too, I am a regular on fas.ie these days, and today there are literally NO jobs! I usually check on a few times thoughout the day, there must be something up. The website is still up, are they off today or what? Extended easter holidays??!

I was into one of the local offices last week, and they were about as helpful as a fart in a jar!

I went into my local FAS office soon after becoming unemployed and the woman who I spoke to was unhelpful. And I came out with less hope than I went in the door with.

Exactly the same as my experience. I had to show her how to find the placement I was after, on the database. She insisted it didn't exist. It would make no difference to most if they never came back to work.

i know guys fas are an absolute disgrace. i dont even bother look no more. in fairness though most of the other agencies are exactly the same. the jobs are posted but appears they are not there in the first place, and the ones that are are paying peanuts. the government are that and screwing us alot more than they have been letting on and i dont think it is worth alot of people's while returning to work. they really need to get on top of the unemployment situation in this country.

I dont know about the privilege day, but I know from my boyf jobsearch, if you actually go into the office and go on their machines, theres new jobs there that havent been uploaded yet.
Boyf was very defeated after his first time in the fas office, I dont think they're doing a good job in there. However they must be totally overwhelmed by the amount of jobseekers.(still no excuse though)
He went and spoke to a guy about doing a course, and that guy was really enthusiastic and helpful, gave him a bit of hope

And ppl wonder why this country is in ruins?!
Privilage days......are they serious? How out of touch with reality do they have to be?
The country is on its knees and these ppl are getting over paid to under perform, fire all of them, and not with severence packages! Disgrace!

OMG do not get me started on FAS.. Im doing a FAS course at the mo and it is PERFECTLY clear that they do not know their a.ss from their elbow.. excuse my laguage but the amount of unnecessary messing around that has been done and ludicrous requests from FAS have totally put me off ever having anthing to do with them in the future. The only reason im still on the course is because i dont want to have jus wasted the time ive already put in.. All i can say is its no wonder FAS have been getting bad press!!!!
