How to set up Connect-it Universal Remote Control?

    Hi,
    I just bought a 'Connect-IT' universal remote control and for the life of me can't understand the instructions. Can anyone help me??
    Anyone got step by step CLEAR instructions?
    I currently read the instructions as:
    1) Turn on tv
    2) Press 'Set' & 'Power' together for 3 seconds
    3) Press TV (There seems to be 3 TV-related buttons on this remote to add to the problem - 'TV/VCR'; 'TVTXT1' & 'TVTXT2')
    4) Enter the relevant code (I have a Sony & Beko tv)
    But nothing at all works..

    Can anyone help me???

    As you can see I am a total non-tech person.

    do you have the manual for the RM400...? I need the instructions for searching for a code that is not in book

    Sometimes the code does not work. Look at the instructions for when a code does not work. Usually you need to have the TV on, follow the instructions until the TV turns off, then save the setting.

    do not have the manual ...so I do not know how to program controller
