Ok, cant find this info anywhere.
So, I booked a ticket online, with Aer Lingus..
And I dont have my passport yet, but it says put your name "as it appears" on the passport, so I put it the way I did on my application.

Thing is, my Second name has an O before the last name, so I added that, put a space and put my last name..
But when I got my online ticket through my e-mail the didnt have it O K they had it OK.... if you understand.. no space.. will I have any trouble getting my boarding pass or will there be any hassle do you think?

So the passport says e.g. "O'Kelly" or "O Kelly" and the boarding pass says "OKelly"?

I don't imagine you'll have any problem whatsoever.

Edit: Sorry, I may have misread. Is your name "John [middle initial O] Kelly" and the boarding pass reads "John Okelly"?

Correct yeah, on my passport it will be O Kelly and on the receipt the online ticket reads OKelly ... middle initial is O, yes..

Problems maybe? Don't fancy forking out for a name change on a ticket or something like that..

If you're worried about it, contact Aer Lingus. I would be very, very surprised if they didn't update it for you free of charge as it's clearly not a change of passenger, just an obvious typo in the name.

Other people have done this without any problem.

I have an O' name also and have flew with several airlines, and often got my ticket with O'Kelly* (which is the correct way) and as oKelly OKelly O Kelly Okelly O' Kelly O ' Kelly, It never made an ounce of difference on the ticket and is more to do with the ticket system being able to render the apostrophe in the name. However one place it is critical to get the apostrophe correct is on any visa applications as there was a few NI Irish lads denied entry to Australia over difference on their names and the British passports. It was on that Ozzy Border patrol tv show last year on living on sky.

    *O'Kelly isn't my surname:p
