quick question on PSN

trying to log into the PSN store but this comes up

"This service is not available in your country/region"

I signed up to the american PSN when the ps3 came out first and never signed up to the irish one

so are they stopping us using american PSN or something ?

if youve signed up for the american one, you can only access it in america, (or through a proxy), id say just sign up again under the irish psn...

That error also comes up when the store is down for maintenance (or whatever), so that's the other explanation.

You have to register with a new name and use a different e-mail address for each account.

For example, my main PSN name is Narnin, however I can't use that name to d/l stuff from US/Japanese store. I had to create distinct accounts for each region. (That reads weird, but it makes sense to me).

*I'm assuming you are trying to access the Irish PSN store with your US account name or something...

Same problem here with me. Was on it earlier today just fine, but now I'm getting the same message "This service is not available in your country/region."

Think i'll trot along to Xtra-vision to trade in some games now

iv a Japanese account an it works on psn u dnt have to be in the country to access it on the Japanese account u get all the demos an stuff first and some games so it could be just down for maintenance
