Summer working holiday-Valencia or Gibraltar

Hi, not sure if Im posting on the right forum here(also posted in the youth and travel section), but was hoping someone might be able to give me some advice.

Me and 2 of my friends, all 19, are hoping to head to Spain for a working holiday from start of June till mid August. We were originally going to head to Santa Ponsa or Salou but were put off by the high unemployment rates in Spain.

We then decided to either head for Valencia, as it has one of the lowest unemployment rates in Spain and apparantly also has a great nite life ( quite important to us!). BUT the problem is not one of us speaks a word of Spanish.
This probably slashes our chances of gettin a job.

We then thought of Gibraltar, climate of Spain but the benefit of no language barrier. not sure what the night life or chances of getting a job would be though?

Does anyone have any advice/comments at all?? or any other suggestions of where to head?

    Thanks

never been to valencia but i have been to gibraltar, its ok for a day trip but i wouldn't like to live there. there might be some work around the port towns close to gibraltar such as algeciras or tarifa. malaga about an hour or so east of gibraltar is a very lively town, marbella even closer will be buzzing in june and july

Forget about Valencia unless you speak good Spanish.

Not sure where you got the unemployment figures for Valencia for but I can assure you that the recession has hit this city just as hard as any other in Spain. As above poster stated your chances of getting work here without speaking Spanish are very slim. There are some Irish bars and that but their clientele is by no means exclusively English-speaking, it's not a touristy city really even in the summer.
