TC Electronic have an EQ capture like that called Assimilator if I remember correctly for powercore/vst platforms.

I think there's more to this than just EQ ...

demoed it for the 21 days a while back, very interesting. I think you really need to spend a lot of time with it to get to know it.
There were things it could do that I liked, where I couldn't replicate using anything else (or combinations of processes).
But having said that, those things sounded a little too extreme for my tastes. I couldn't seem to dial it back to a place I was comfortable with.
I'd say I probably just didn't devote enough time to it to really get under the hood.

I did buy the Flux Alchemist though, sort of similar territory in terms of it's range of sonic possibilities. But more familiar dynamic concepts though that I found easier to adapt to.

definitly one of the most natural sounding de-essers ive used.

still learning my way around other uses but a definite no brainer at the price.

Flux has a much superior looking interface ...

definitely! and seeing it has roughly 400 adjustable parameters that's pretty good gui design!

    400 ? Feck out !

I don't want to be adjusting more than 5 in a plugin !!

    :) indeed.

It would be highly unlikely that you would ever have to use all those parameters at the same time.
I've generally find that when I use it, I use about two dynamics sections on maybe 3/4 bands.
