Ownership Docket

    Hey there,

    Not sure of the correct term for this document. Bought a car about 3 weeks ago now at this stage and the vehicle ownership transfer was processed online in front of us. There is still no sign of it in the post and now the tax is up.

    Has anyone any idea how long these forms take to process?

    This is the info I get on the Motor registration website;

    Change Of Vehicle Ownership
    Purchased by a Dealer on : 03/03/2010

    Notified on : 03/03/2010
    Vehicle Registration Certificate
    No Vehicle Registration Certificate issued in the last 3 months

    AFAIK the vehicle ownership transfer cannot be processed online - the VLC has to be filled out and posted to Shannon.

    Give the dealer a ring about the Log Book, I think even tho it gets changed there & then via online, you still have to send the log book off.

    We got a car here few months back, dealer did the same changed ownership online but gave us the log book, no new log book arrived in the post as we still have it here & never sent it off yet.
