Jailbreak for new iPhone 3gs on 3.1.3?

    hey guys looking for a bit of info or if anyone knows what is happening with the possiblity of a jailbreak for the new iPhone 3gs with 3.1.3 OS on it?

    I'm thinking about getting the new one with vodafone but would like to be able to jailbreak it at some stage?

    Check this unlock wizard out on iClarified, apparently it can be done but haven't tested it myself.

    When you click through it says:

    Important
    Unfortunately you are unable to jailbreak the 3.1.3 firmware on the iPhone 3GS unless you use PwnageTool for Mac to upgrade to it.

    dunno whether it will work if i buy one from vodafone today?

    Sorry guys, on a mac here and apparently it can be done on a mac using the Pwnage Tool. I'm sure they will release a PC version soon.

    Great, so the jailbreak is available if I buy a new iphone today which has 3.1.3 on it!!

    Will just just have to track down someone with a Mac :confused::D

    As far as I know you can only unlock 3.13 if you have upgraded from 3.12 and saved a restore file which lets you reinstall 3.12. Maybe somebody could clarify this?

    Wouldn't want to see you buy the phone, only to find out it can't be jailbroken.

    Your best of holdin off for the moment , 3.1.3 jailbreak will be out shortly I imagine . I assume you need to jailbreak to unlock to use meteor or 3 sim ?

    From all reports on the net it seems like it should be out soon...or just find someone with a Mac

    Does the phone have to be jailbroken first to get it unlocked or vice versa?

    You are all wrong,

    If you already have a jailbroken phone you can upgrade to 3.1.3 by using pwnage tool. It will NOT work with a OTB 3.1.3 as it has never been pwned before.

    Just wait like 2 weeks and the crack will be out.
