    Hi.
I was playing a game in a DOS window on my Windows XP netbook (Asus EeePC 1008HA). I closed the laptop without exiting the game. Now when the laptop comes out of hibernation to the login screen, the resolution is so low, can't get to the username box to log in. All I have is the standby/shutdown/restart buttons.

Any quick fix to this? So far I have tried
    shutdown
    restart
hold the power button for 5 sec to reboot

I'm thinking I need to get into windows safe mode to solve it but I don't know how.

    Thanks for advice!
