    hi,
we are looking online for cake toppers but would like to see them in the 'flesh' also. Do cake shops sell cake toppers separately i wonder?
if anyone can tell me of some wedding cake shops in galway that would be great.

Are you looking for personalised cake toppers or just standard ones? Anywhere that does wedding cakes would have the standard ones available or would be able to tell you where to see them, I don't know anywhere particular in Galway that sells the very personalised ones. Is it the Flymo toppers that you can keep as a souvenir that you want? If not you can get them made from fondant by any decent cakemaker, I make them out of fondant myself and they are quite tough too so can be kept but not as well as the Flymo obviously.

I don't know if you've seen these ones but here's a big selection there to look at for ideas anyway:http://www.caketoppersireland.com/

Also a word of warning, if you are going for the personalised ones don't automatically get your cake from them, they can be quite overpriced so shop around for that separately.

Most cake shops will have them. I got my cake through annes bakery, they were able to show us a choice of toppers. Also there is someone on adverts selling personalised cake toppers.

I saw some of their work at the bride of the year show in the RDS & thought it was very good. Will prob get one from them myself.
