Philps 42pfl7603D will not turn on

    I turned on mpeg4 in the service menu, and turned off the tv. When i powered it back up, the white light flashes for a few seconds and then the tv turns off again.

    Is there any way to get into the service menu to undo the change?

    Hi Ffocused.

    Ash here from the Philips Shop in Dublin.
    Your best course of action is to contact the Philips Helpline on 1800 744 5477.

    Hopefully they will beable to guide you out of your problem.

    Thank Ashley,

    Called Philips, and they want it retuned to Cork for a repair. €160 for a courier before it is even looked at!!!

    I am bringing it to a local repair company tomorrow instead and hopefully he will get it running again. I have 2 kids giving out to me as they now have to make do with a tiny 32" tv:eek:
    (Ahh when i was a boy i had to make do with 2 channels on a 14" b/w tv:))
