Channel 4 on YouTube

    Hey Guys.

    I've tried to watch a few video's of Channel 4 show's that are on YouTube but it says Channel 4 has blocked the video's in Ireland - why is this?

    For some things they don't have rights in Ireland - they have to block them out.

    Same reason why Sky News doesn't allow you to comment on news stories if you are from Ireland. Blatant racism.

    C4 is viewable by people in Ireland, so there is no issues with them 'not having the right to show it in Ireland'.

    Bring back the good old YouTube that worked and didn't censor everything.

    It ain't copyright... it's Regional / Territorial broadcasting rights...

    you can get around it with an IP proxy...

    Actually sky customers can't watch some of their shows. You get an annoying "not available in ROI" messsage :mad:. Not sure if it still happens that much as i don't really watch that much tv anymore. Not sure if the same goes for other digital providers, but i'd imagine it does.

    Yeah, to get around it I use the FoxyProxy extension with Firefox.

    There's a video on youtube about how to use it.
