Product : USB Rechargeable 300KP Pinhole Spy AV Camera Disguised as Flashlight (Black)
    Website: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.31991
    Price: $30.19 (€22 ish)

Decided to buy one of these to see what its was it like and might make for some interesting videos. First impression looked like a flaslight, its about 25mm in diameter so fits standard 25mm scope mounts which means it can be mounted on any RIS / Weaver rail (finally a good use for one). Heres some pics f it mounted on a G36C

    Concluson:

Overall considering price its not a bad piece of kit, needs to be tested outdoors in the bright, will bring it on sunday and see how it gets on, i'll update here with any future clips and if there are any decent vid i'll edit them and post them up.

You set it to private, only your friends can see it.

That's surprisingly good quality for a camera that costs about €20.

    2 questions:

Can you throw normal AAA or AA batteries into it so you don't have to charge it via USB?

Can you just use the record function without the torch function?

    Embeded:)

There's one thing to note with that, a problem with all gun cams is vibrations/noise. Try firing while recording.

That seems very very similar to the MD80/DV001 that was discussed on here a while back, just a different case(and a better one I might add).

Here's some from mine, had problems with dropped sync:rolleyes:

You could adapt one of the supplied mounts to fit a RIS.

only usb, bit of a pain esp as there is now charge indicator so you are never sure wheter its full or not, i also forgot to mention it doesn't come with a micro sd card

there is also no torch function, it only functions as a camera, but i wanted a camera that looked like it belonged on AEG rather than a taped on camera, so the torch looking one was perfect for me

didn't think of the vibrations, will give it a lash see how it works out.

also i think a lot of the chinesse camera are basically a phone camera set to record to the sd card, i got my one based on the key fob camera, so random guys duct taped it to an R/C jet fighter and the picture looked ok so figured worst that happens for €20 is i buy it use it twice and get bored of it
