Portlaoise and surrounding area

    I'm heading up to Portlaoise for three days in the middle of the month.
    I will be using Portlaoise as a base for exploring & photographing anything of interest in the surrounding area ( 30-40 mile radius).
    Any advice / thoughts on where is good to go for photos in the area would be welcome.
