Does anyone know in Dublin or surrounding areas any shops that can replace the housing on a 3G iphone as I have one and it has developed a crack near the dock connector.

And would anyone know the rough price

    Thanks

That happened to my 3g, and it's not just the housing, tha back of it is actually a circuitboard, and the replacement part is rather quite expensive!

    No it's not it's just a cover isn't it?

The guy in my town actually charges 80 to replace just the back.

You can get backs for the iphone if you really wanted to for like 5Euro on Ebay a genuine is about 30 I think.

There's good palces online that show you step by step how to replace the back. When you look under the iphone you see two screws don't think it's jsut a case of removing these two screws and changing the back you have to take the whole phone apart to change the back housing.

Yes thats the thing I've seen the videos and the cases can be got on ebay but the amount of screws to remove is about 50 maybe slightly less so I would rather a professional do it although if I have a free day I may take a stab at it
