End the Guest Host Saga?

Surely it's time WWE got its' act together and put in place a well known figure as General Manager. The guest host thing was stale a long time ago and I severely miss the times when a General Manager provided an extra dimension in terms of feuds and backstage segments.

If you could hand pick the new General Manager of Raw who would it be? Or would you keep the alternating guest hosts going?

Id do what we did in the BWE Bang! Bang! and get The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase Sr in as full time GM but I dont see the WWE doing that, instead i see guest GM's continuing for the forseable future or atleast until they get the Rock to do it (maybe have him be the last one and appoint a long term successor on his show).

The Rock as GM would be class. Anymore NASCAR drivers and I'll do something to my TV that I'll regret.

They should bring in Shatner fulltime.. #cough WECWF# cough bang! bang!:pac:

    ^^^

Thanks only for the Shatner bit;):pac:

Raw really does need a full-time GM but their getting solid ratings from the "guest GM" so I can't see it being dropped for a while

I think its in one of the other threads too but bring back Regal as Raw Commissioner, the guys is bloody immense in that role

He could def fill that role again (and would have got another big push with his KOTR win except for his wellnesion failing), tbh should the WWE ever decide to return to one man in a GM type role they do have a number of suitable people already on payroll they could use, not that that guarantee's they would make the right choice in such a situation (Mike Adalme).

"The Million Dollar Man", Ted Dibiase Sr .... Would be fantastic not only that but he's a classic! He's not as annoying as some of the others. I could deal with seeing him every Monday night!!

EXCUSEEEEEEEE MEEEEEE................isn't it obvious who the the new GM should be? Vickie of course!
Think about it, okay sometimes when you watch her you may start feeling nauseous but on the whole, she is top notch. Her time as SD GM was brilliant, she was getting as much, if not more crowd heat than the top heels, you just loved to hate her. Her stint on Raw was poorly done, she wasn't there long enough to make any sort of an impact and most of her time was spent in that horrible feud with Santina. She left after that "Hog Pen Match" but now she's back. She's being wasted on SD as the "Consultant", she is just too good to be involved with the divas, I say send her over to Raw, throw her back in with the big guns and let her do what she does best - piss everybody off!

A few good suggestions there. Abraham Washington with a slight tweak would make a decent GM i think. He'd be new too but you could trust him a lot more!

No!!!! He's awful. I hated him so much, I'd turn off ECW (WWE) when he was on.

    Zero charisma

Keep the guest hosts. It gives the bella twins an excuse to wear a bikini, Santino a comedy skit and hornswoggle away from the ring. No matter what WWE WILL continue to use dodgy comedy parts on RAW. Those dodgy parts may as well be the guest hosts.

If WWE bring back the typical heel GM we will have additional backstage segments and more repeat storylines wwe have used time and time again wgen a GM is on the scene. Unless they do something completely differant with a permanent GM we will have seen it all before.

I want Goldust to be GM for one week that would be differant!

I dont mind the guest hosts tbh as long they get more past wrestlers and celebs who know about the WWE and have an interest in it at least

They need to pick their hosts and when they appear better though. I mean, the day after Wrestlemania, they have the stars of 'Hot Tub Time Machine'? They need former wrestlers for big shows like that, especially right after a PPV, because former wrestlers as guest hosts can set up matches for the next PPV a lot better.

I think many of you are missing the reason why the guest hosts are being used. Cash.
Movie tie ins. NBA and Nascar etc are all promoting the wwe brand. Its getting the brand name out there.

    - The feeling within WWE is that the company is losing interest in the RAW guest hosts concept. That is why there haven't been weeks without a guest host as of late and also why hosts like Rob Zombie weren't promoted.

WWE has announced that actor Bobb'e J. Thompson will be the guest host of Monday Night RAW on October 18th from Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Thompson is starring in WWE's movie Knucklehead with Big Show. That movie comes out October 22nd.

WWE also announced that country music singer Toby Keith will be the guest host on October 25th, the night after the Bragging Rights pay-per-view, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Keith will be promoting his new album, Bullets in the Gun, which comes out on October 5th.

Well, that's forward planning. Why announce them guest hosts now. October?!? We're in July

Definetly for the Rock, I don't think HBK will be Raw GM anytime soon
