Basically, when/if the levels get a little bit lower and all the fun to be had isnt happening out there a mate and I were thinking of running the Boyne from Slane right down to the Drogheda. Fairly experienced paddlers but just wondering if anybody actually knows what waits beyond Slane bridge for a paddler. Any portages and any weirs that can cause issues ? We will be running in old style round hull boats. Prijon T Canyon and the likes so we can get a bit of speed.

I have never paddled it, but their are definitely weirs on it, cant imagine that they'd be difficult to scout though. let us know what's down there if you go!
