I am just wondering can you pick one (or two) module that can be "part" of your degree? for example pick a module you like and is "suitable" for your degree?

Did anyone ever asked the department about it? I know we can only do as given but I like to know if we can pick just one and I could ask the department for permission/reason etc... (since the option list are not fully compulsary modules if you know what I mean....I thought we could...).

I hope you enjoyed Easter by the way! :D

I've heard of this happening, and technically did it for one module as the class I wanted to take the lecturer loved me and I'd done the introduction to it the year before, and the class I should have taken was pointless for my degree. It's a giant pain for departments, scheduling and lectureres though 90% of the time so they'll just say no, but if you were suited for it I'd at least try! It's a lot easier too if you're in a small science class, easier to maybe reschedule something for 6 people rather than 60.

Also! forgot: unless it's an intro module they might not let you take it at all, and they might be limited for numbers for tutors/lab help etc.

    Thanks taram!
I see what I can do with it. I say the department will say no but like you and I - it no harm to ask.
